OVERVIEW
-Administer maintenance of the approved supplier list, analysing data from multiple systems and consolidate into one comprehensive system.
- To be responsible for all aspects of purchasing services and materials, ensuring the cost effective running of the production needs of the company
-Assist in the development of management reporting of KPI’s
-Will be working in a fast moving reactive manufacturing environment so similar experience would be an advantage
-Collate purchasing spend data by department on a monthly basis and breakdown to supplier and service level
-Responsible for collating all existing supplier agreement and register to central database
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience of Purchasing and supply chain role based in a manufacturing environment
-Experience of supplier rationalisation projects
-Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office package.
be a fully/part qualified member of CIPS
ROLE INFORMATION IN DETAIL:
-Candidates should have proven experience negotiating with suppliers
- Assist in the collation of weekly saving sheets and updating records
-Actively research the supply chain for cost out opportunities to provide improved solutions, ensuring low cost, best value.
-Source new items to support the new product development process
-Work with departments purchasers to target and delivers cost savings
-Communicate with suppliers and continually look at methods to improve material cost of sales
-Adopt a flexible approach to the role according to the needs and the resources of the Department and undertake all other duties as appropriate to the post
