Production Supervisor

A Production Supervisor is required to join a successful food company near Middlesbrough. 35-37K
The site is a fast moving industrial production and warehousing environment. The successful candidate will be jointly responsible for the management of a Production Line and possibly the warehouse facility at times. Will be in charge of 30-40 people.
The candidate will join 4 other Production Supervisors and report to the Shift Manager.
Role: -To head a team/section to achieve all operational targets/objectives/KPIs for a line. -To lead continuous improvement for area and team. -This role is key to manufacturing performance with planning, problem solving and team work key to delivering this. -Targets will be in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and the application of group and site personnel policy (recruitment, attendance, disciplinary, appraisal etc), plus additional individual project work with focus on continuous improvement. -To control the site receipt, storage, supply, control, and, retrieval of material to the production process in order to help ensure successful completion of the factory production plan.
Key Requirements of the Role: Previous experience of team management is essential. Fast moving industry background is essential. Food industry background would be desirable. Must have proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing techniques (Kaizen, 5S etc...) Must have full understanding of OEE. Must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, flexible and demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative. Must have the drive, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure. The successful applicant is required to encourage teamwork and be proactive in their approach to work.
35-37K including shift allowance. 3 shift system. (average 32.8 hours per week) Some weekend work (2 Saturdays every 5 weeks) Management incentive bonus scheme. Stakeholder Pension. Bupa Healthcare.
