Production Engineer - CNC

Salary: £26,000 Negotiable plus package

Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Producing 5-axis CNC programmes for blade manufacture using CAM software
- Developing new manufacturing methods to reduce lead times and costs, including fixture
- Development and process optimisation
- Implementing and evaluating departmental business improvement activities which directly affect component quality or productivity, and linking these to relevant business objectives and targets
- Developing systems and procedures to support training and development as well as process standardisation
- Investigating quality problems
- providing technical advice to support blading subcontractors
Applicants should be time served or qualified to HNC level in an engineering discipline; possess knowledge of CAD/CAM; have experience of 5-axis CNC programming in an engineering environment; have experience of implementing new manufacturing processes; be quality and customer focussed; be computer literate and possess good time management and communication skills. Machining experience would be an advantage.
