Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Turner, trepanning experience

Title: Centre Lathe Turner/ Manual Turner with trepanning experience working on oil & gas, medium to large scale component range. Conventional centre lathe turner.
Location: commutable from Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Worksop, Chesterfield, Barnsley.
Apprentice trained/ experienced/ time served centre lathe turner required to machine medium to large scale components for the oil and gas sector. All manual turning on centre lathe. Confidence to work alone, from drawings under own initiative as may be working alone in machine shop at times. Due to nature of work load, will also need a good amount of experience trapanning/ trepanning (form of drilling) All bespoke components so majority of work is one to six offs. All intricate proof machining, must be able to do own inspection work and be able to use hand held measuring equipment where required. Could also involve working off site so again, confidence machining medium to large scale components to tight tolerances with no supervision is essential. CV required for immediate start. Upto 1.5metre diameter and 2-4 meters in length component range.
Days, Monday toi Friday. After successful completion of temporary 13 week ’like probationary period’, will increase oay by £1.60ph.
